City of Norwalk Industrial Zones Study
The City of Norwalk is seeking the services of a consulting firm or firms qualified to undertake a study of the city’s industrial zones. The study will include, but not be limited to: a review of current uses, future needs based on trends in manufacturing and development, “green” manufacturing opportunities that have no negative impacts on surrounding properties, present and future land use designations, protecting and enhancing water-dependent uses in Norwalk Harbor, while accommodating water access to all, ways to mitigate impacts certain industrial uses have on surrounding residential neighborhoods, and economic development and land use policies to attract the types of businesses that will provide sustainable, high-paying jobs for our residents and increase the grand list.
