Planners preparing to sit for the AICP exam should check out the following resources:

• To get a sense of what’s currently on the exam, be sure to take a look at AICP’s Exam Outline.
• For a comprehensive study guide, APA offers AICP’s Exam Prep 3.0.
• There’s also a study course offered by Planetizen.
• Check out APA’s recommended reading list, including Everyday Ethics for Practicing Planners,  Planning Theory for Practitioners, The Practice of Local Government Planning and Contemporary Urban Planning.
• There are free study resources from Florida,  Philadelphia, Wisconsin, and Texas.
• There’s a free website PlanningPrep with several practice exams.
• There’s a YouTube page called “PlanningWebcast” that has a series of AICP Exam Review sessions
• Access flashcards created by previous test takers at StudyStack.comby searching AICP.
