Secretary to the Land Use Boards

The Village of Larchmont is seeking a professional to serve as Secretary to the Land Use Boards under the direction of the Building Inspector within the Building Department. The ideal candidate is highly organized with an ability to work on a variety of projects in a proficient manner. Communication skills in this busy office are very important. The candidate will need to provide clear, concise and accurate information to the public on all matters. The ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a must. Knowledge of the Municity building department software is a plus.
Job Duties: In addition to the generic duties outlined in the attached Westchester County Job description sheet, the position will require attendance at all Board meetings (3 per month); prepare and distribute meeting agenda and related backup; intake and review applications; process building permits; assist the public; maintain basic accounting of escrow accounts related to certain development projects; update the department’s website; and exercise good inter-departmental relations as some activities require the involvement of multiple departments.
Salary: $50,000 to $65,000 depending on qualifications. Additional compensation may be considered for candidates that possess a very high skill set in the desired areas and/or significant professional experience in related functions. A generous fringe benefits package is also provided.
