Job Description

Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc., a transportation, community, and environmental planning firm, is seeking to fulfill a position for a self-motivated, multi-lingual professional to support our community engagement and public involvement efforts. The selected candidate will assist in event planning and organizing public meetings; provide logistical support for those meetings; attend and participate in engagement activities; and assist planners with special projects in all areas of FHI’s business, including light administrative duties.  The position will be based in our Manhattan office, located in the Financial District, easily accessed by public transportation. FHI serves clients in the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions (New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut). FHI offers competitive benefits, including a monthly transportation subsidy.  

The ideal candidate will have a unique combination of skills including: an interest in improving communities through collaboration, effective organizational skills and attention to detail, strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Office 365. Familiarity with the Adobe Creative suite and experience building or maintaining websites are a plus. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish languages. Depending on client and project requirements, occasional evening work or field work may be needed. Hours can be flexible but mostly fall within normal business hours. 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Certification in event planning a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Salary commensurate with level of experience.
