Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR) is seeking a versatile, team-oriented Project Manager to join our Planning Group. The qualified Planning Project Manager will have at least a BS/BA degree in planning or related field and 7 years of experience in community, environmental, and land use planning and regulation. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong writing, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of local, state, or federal funding programs and decision-making processes.
EDR is a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm that has been in business for nearly 40 years (since 1979), and this position represents a career opportunity with one of the leading planning consultants in New York State. The planning group’s portfolio of projects and clients is diverse; we provide services to all types and sizes of municipalities including small rural and large suburban towns, vibrant villages, complex cities, and dynamic counties. In addition to municipal governments, we have also provided planning services to Native American tribal governments, local development corporations, and international corporations. Our areas of expertise include waterfront planning, resiliency and hazard mitigation planning, zoning regulations, park and trails master plans, natural resource inventories, SEQR compliance, neighborhood planning, socioeconomic analysis, consensus building, and all levels of community engagement.
