Job Description

The Port Authority is seeking a dynamic and experienced executive to serve as its Assistant Director in the Planning and Regional Development Department.

Position Overview: The Assistant Director will report to and act on the behalf of the Director, Planning and Regional Development being accountable for all matters related to managing the operation of the divisions with the Department including critical aspects of external coordination with key agency partners.

The Planning and Regional Development Department’s portfolio of projects include improving rail access to JFK, expanded trans Hudson access through the Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT) replacement, PATH expansion and analysis of post 2040 trans Hudson needs, improving trans Hudson ferry service, supporting the transformation of Red Hook and South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, identifying creative strategies to capture value from key assets such as PATH (particularly Journal Square Transportation Center) and the PABT, coordinating critical truck access requirements relative to emerging developments impacting the Goethals Bridge and construction at the George Washington Bridge.
