Tech Talk Speaker Series
Tech Talks are our bi-monthly speaker series, where we focus on a round table discussions that center around different subjects at the intersection of planning and technology. We host Tech Talks on the first Thursday of the month, if you’re interested in speaking or attending please reach out to a committee member about scheduling.
This has become our signature event series, and typically attracts an audience size of 15-20 attendees, for some virtual events we have had upwards of 40 virtual attendees!
In 2021 we spoke with Daniel Lattorre, Founder of The Wise City, on ‘Smart City Versus Wise City: Tech Politics & Digital Peacemaking’. Later in the year, the committee spoke with Lauren Smith, Senior Research Analyst at Center city District, on ‘Recentering the Lens: Understanding Recovery Through Pedestrian Activity in Center City Philadelphia.’
