NYC Planning recently launched the NYC Facilities Explorer (beta), an interactive web map that provides the ability to easily explore the most comprehensive dataset of public and private facilities and program sites that shape the quality of NYC’s neighborhoods, capturing sites that are owned, operated, funded, or licensed by a government agency.

Mapping this footprint of facilities and programs within NYC is essential for planners to understand the distribution of public services, strategically site new facilities, and inform capital investment decisions. Furthermore, the interactive web map enables all New Yorkers to learn about the breadth of government resources in their neighborhoods. Over time, DCP will add new and improved data and functionalities to help foster more efficient, coordinated, and strategic planning across New York City.

Please join us for a live demonstration, followed by a question and answer session. This event is sponsored by the APA-NYM Urban Design Committee and will be simulcast via GoToMeeting.
