During Transgender Awareness Week, APA's LGBTQ and Planning Division hosts a virtual conversation with Bernie Wagenblast, transportation journalist, radio personality, and one of the familiar voices of the New York City subway.
After a short film introducing Bernie and her subway work, she'll talk about her lifelong interest in transportation, her career in radio traffic reporting and public communications with NYC DOT, the Port Authority, and TRANSCOM, and her experiences traveling by transit as a transgender woman.
