WSP USA is seeking a highly motivated planner for its New York City environmental and planning practice. This mid-level planner will contribute to a wide variety of environmental and planning assignments, including the development of environmental impact statements, transportation alternatives analyses, land use plans, transit-oriented development (TOD) plans, neighborhood redevelopment plans, and community resiliency plans for public and private clients.
Major Duties: Project research and data gathering, mapping and graphic production, site reconnaissance, site analysis, zoning and regulatory analysis, writing draft technical reports and chapters for reports, and preparation of community meeting presentation materials. The ability to handle a wide variety of projects and multiple assignments with a creative attention to detail is a must. Candidate is expected to have a sound understanding of regulatory requirements and processes for local, state, and federal environmental impact assessment.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel) and Esri ArcGIS. An ability to work with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) is a plus.

Job Requirements

-Minimum 3 years’ relative planning experience.
-Bachelor’s degree in planning, urban studies, transportation planning, or environmental planning.
-The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
